Efficiency of Radiator Covers

Think way back to your school days and you'll recall lessons on molecular behavior. Heat makes molecules move faster, and subsequently become less dense as the molecules take up more space. This is why hot air rises, a behavior that is true of the indoors and outdoors. Along with radiant heat, many structures built in the Victorian era also feature high or vaulted ceilings. As heat transfers from the pipes of your radiator to the surrounding air it begins to rise, allowing cooler air to fall below to waist level. Seems like a waste to be spending all that money on heat that is going to your ceiling and lighting fixtures while the occupants of your space are spending their time in the cold at floor level.

Not only will your radiator cover look great, but is also functional in pushing the hot air out the front and sides of the radiator cover. This directs the heat into your space and minimizes the up, up, and away factor of heat transfer. When ordering one of our radiator covers you have the option of how many panel openings you want and if you want them on the front and sides, or front only. Just give us a shout and well be able to modify your order to suit your individual needs. Panel openings are available with three different screen options; Mission, Grecian, and Windsor.
